Before all else, I am a woman of faith. I started my career years ago in nursing which taught me to anticipate needs, follow protocol, meticulously administer care, and listen first and foremost in order to understand. After 12 years in the medical field I transitioned into full-time homemaker and homeschool mom. I quickly discovered that being a nurse and being a mother went hand-in-hand.
The multi-faceted demands of homeschool required extreme discipline and creative vision. I was fully responsible for the education and socialization of these little humans; there was a lot at stake. Now, I am a proud mother that enjoys the blessing of my two adult children; educated, independent, and both married with children (yes, I am in the grandparent club and it is the best club ever!) I still have one child in the nest; a mother’s work is never done.
Transitions continued as my husband and I became small business owners of a retail lumber and hardware store; details, documents, numbers, and negotiations were added to my daily to do list.
All of these life experiences have brought me to where I am today, helping people! I was once told “A person doesn’t choose a career in real estate, real estate chooses you.” How glad I am to have been chosen. I get to help people everyday with one of the most expensive and emotional transactions in life: buying and selling a home.
Now, imagine me as “Your Real Estate Consultant for Life.” Think about it - you have professionals in every area of your life that provide you with good services on a long-term basis: people like your financial adviser, accountant, lawyer, doctor, or trusted mechanic. Why do so many people look at getting real estate help as such a short-term relationship? When you consider that for most people, buying or selling a home is a major investment, why do they settle for a real estate agent they don’t even know or trust?
During my career in the real estate market I’ve seen too many people end up with less than desirable results when buying or selling a home. I would never want this to happen to you. I want to be your “Real Estate Consultant for Life.” It makes perfect sense. You don’t want to change your doctor every time you need one. Why would you want anything less than a family real estate consultant?
I want to be your Real Estate Consultant for Life, and I hope I can earn your trust and build a lifelong relationship with you, your family, and your friends.
"Karen helped me beyond the call of duty. She helped to calm my nerves in the course of negotiations all the while getting me the best deal possible. She walked me through the process every step of the way by communicating the details. I highly recommend Karen if you are buying or selling your home."
